Among KS systems, the SAT is one of the most successful sound reinforcement systems ever- a concept that was developed more than 30 years ago, has often been copied and today represents the benchmark for compact PA systems with active mono subwoofer. For many applications, our classic SAT, which has become steadily more efficient, is simply too powerful. This is why we created the MICROSAT for all those users who are looking for the sound of a good HiFi system, but also do require the live audibility of a PA and whose audience usually consists of a few hundred people.

 

The mid-high speaker systems specified as CX8 are unique in terms of small footprint combined with outstanding sound quality for sound reinforcement of vocals and music. The co-axial driver/ horn combination has an equally good frequency response up to 20kHz at all angles. The 8” low-mid speaker is featuring an extremely powerful drive unit with high power capacity plus 3” voice coil. The 1” HF driver is located co-axially behind the low-mid speaker and is emitting through a custom made HF-horn especially designed and manufactured by KS AUDIO. Due to the fact, that the housing is equipped with two flange adapters, lateral dispersion easily can be switched from 120° to 60°. The cabinet features PU coated multiplex panels, two flange adapters, protective grille, hinged handle and vented ports on the front side. Input is NL4 Speakon.

The active subwoofer of the MICROSAT is the CB12: a vented cabinet, equipped with a single 12” long stroke woofer featuring 4” voice coil and 1400 watts power capacity in vented operation. This heavy-duty speaker can even reproduce the lowest frequencies distortion-free. Another active woofer CB12E can used as an extension subwoofer in mono mode.The controlled 1500 W amplifier is integrated in the woofer cabinet in such a way that an easily accessible front panel is formed on which the control elements do not project. This ensures efficient air circulation to four power stages (PWM mode) and two class AB amplifiers, corresponding to the request of many customers not to use active cooling in terms of disturbing fan noise. The DSP Controller can handle analogue signals up to 20dbv. For CX8 systems special FIR filters are programmed for correct phase and impulse response equalization.

As seen at any KS AUDIO speaker system, cabinet construction is made of durable birch multiplex. Due to its new heavy duty PU coating, MICROSAT is also tough on mechanical and chemical stress.

Recessed handles, M20 connector plate, rubber feet, protection front grille are further features of this premium KS AUDIO product.

Optionally, transport trolly and custom made enclosure design with additional RAL coloring for permanent installation are available.
