Compact sub low performance
The subwoofer for the demanding ears! The construction is classic, 1x 15” - and the design of the highest quality.
What makes the C W1 very special is, on the one hand, the high-capacity long-excursion speaker with 100mm voice coil and fiber-reinforced membrane, and, on the other hand, the construction of the waveguide for frequencies in the range of 40Hz: the diameter of the bass-reflex openings is particularly large, which results in a high degree of efficiency and low distortion levels due to minimal losses at the tunnel openings.
The slim format of the C W1 makes it particularly suitable for applications where little space is available on the stage, or where a wall niche or a stage portal must be integrated.
Combined with a stand tube (M20 thread), two C W1 make an ideal stand to lift top parts like the C 10 or the C 12 to the right listening level.
The recommended controlled amplifiers are KS AUDIO TA2D or TA4D with an F MOD digital controller module. It provides the required performance, response correction and safe protection for the speaker. The power stage is designed to be particularly efficient, using “cold” 3-stage Class H technology and silent, electronically controlled fans. The wide-range switching power supply is capable of handling all AC voltages between 100V and 240V.
A stereo crossover allows operation of the C W1 as a mono subwoofer. The low-frequency signals of both channels are added and routed via controller to the bridge power stage. The stereo signals are still available for mid-high units at the XLR M outputs.
All DSP controller functions can be remote-controlled and monitored via Ethernet. The key parameters are adjustable via rotary pulse generator and display directly at the device.
The solid protective grid covers the entire front and is overlaid with acoustic foam, which makes it almost “invisible”.
A transport protection cover is available as accessory. The surface has a PU coating that withstands almost any mechanical stress.
Four big transport wheels are mounted on the back to facilitate easy transport.
