C SUB generates the frequencies that the ear expects in large rooms: not only at 80Hz, the “room wavelength” of 4m, but also more than an octave deeper, efficiency remains consistently high. This means that these frequencies do not have to be forced out of the system via frequency-response correction, thus accompanied by a loss of performance, but can rather be retained effortlessly within the overall spectrum even at a high modulation.
As it can be expected from KS AUDIO loudspeakers, C SUB is not only powerful, but also features a high sound quality. This optimum is achieved by the use of four high-capacity 10”- long-excursion speakers with 30mm voice coil height. The relatively low moving mass of the coated membranes combined with push-pull technology results in a precise transient response and decay. The speakers are built in pairs in two separated matched cabinets with shared acoustic charge. This results in minimum distortion values.
Due to its internal geometry alone, the cabinet generates extremely low vibration and is made of multiplex panels with multiple hardening. The rear side is provided with four stable transport wheels and a slide-in amplifier module.
Building on the experiences with T SUB, which has been successful for many years, great emphasis was placed on high transmission quality, simplest operation and handling, plus an active stereo/ mono crossover in the recommended controlled amplifier TA2D or TA4D with F MOD Controller. This can be used to reproduce the bass content in mono, while the stereo signal is still available for the mid-high speakers on two XLR M connectors.
Electronics features modern state-of-the-art technologies: wide-range switching power supply with PFC, four “cold” 3-stage Class-H power stages and comprehensive signal processing in the DSP of the F MOD controller. A delay can be configured in ms and m, which facilitates the setup of bass arrays.
Depending on the used mid-high system, the crossover frequency and the correct phase position can be adjusted.
