KS AUDIO CPD 06 is an all-round talent, made for a wide variety of applications in the field of sound engineering: supportive speaker for theater or concert operations, sound reproduction in the multimedia sector, background sound reinforcement in bars and restaurants, or as a special built-in version on walls and ceilings in high quality. As a mid-high range system in combination with subwoofers such as the CPD B, a completed small PA system is established.
The entire front is designed as a waveguide for the 1” ring diaphragm driver and made of low-resonance PU resin. For strictly symmetrical arrangements, the front can be rotated by 180°. The 6” speaker is protected by a solid grille, which is covered with acoustic foam. The tuning of the housing is achieved using a generously dimensioned tunnel on the rear side, which allows a remarkably powerful reproduction of the bass frequencies. The cabinet itself is made of multi-layered birch plywood and has a matte black PU coating. It is well-shaped, robust, tough on weather impact, has good acoustic qualities and is easy to mount due to M6 threads on the top and bottom side.
The sound reproduction of the CPD 06 drivers are optimized by the 2-way controlled-amplifier module: a pleasantly sounding broadband musical reproduction at medium levels is just as possible as extremely powerful sound reinforcements for supportive operations or voice transmission. High-resolution converters, a precise DSP and fast power stages determine the quality of the CPD 06 amplifier electronics.
Frequency-response and phase equalization are performed by FIR filters. Each speaker is individually calibrated upon request. The In/out section is equipped with electronically balanced XLR male and female connectors, the power connection features Neutrik Powercon.
Mounting brackets and transport protection covers are available as accessories.
