The 4-channel speaker control module with digital signal processing for amplifiers of the KS AUDIO Series CA4D and TA4D. A unique convincing solution for perfect sound and easiest handling.
KS AUDIO D MOD controller module replaces the analog modules used for the 4-channel power amplifiers CA4D und TA4D, which have been produced for over 15 years. Its unique feature is its digital signal processing with FIR filter technology. It allows to equalize the sound signal within the time domain, i.e. in magnitude and phase.
The programming of your loudspeaker system is factory-set, ensuring that the signal inputs and power outputs switch to correct system configuration automatically. From four single channels to two channels in bi-amp- or high performance bridge mode to single channel 3-way active speaker systems with bass bridge power stage, additional active crossover output and optionally “BI-Amp” control - every operating mode is possible.
The control elements are reduced to the essential: depending on the operation mode, sound levels and corner frequencies or individual filters can be switched. LED’s display information about the current operating status.
Simply by exchanging the controller module on the front side against the existing analog device, the quality of your speaker system will improve considerably.
Therefore, the D MOD is the ideal solution to achieve appropriate controlling with the highest audio quality for a system that has been in permanent unaltered operation. The price yet remains substantially below that of the freely configurable F MOD.
At a max of four, inputs are symmetrically designed both in analog and digital operating mode. Switchover is done automatically as soon as an AES/EBU signal is recognized.
The main fields of application are public address systems for voice and music transmission in the highest quality - digitally up to the power stage.
The figure shows the basic operating modes of the D MOD. The changeable parameters depend on the program and only allow settings that are compatible with the respective loudspeaker system.
