As a source or surround loudspeaker in the theater, in the media room, as a conference system, at the exhibition stand, or as a solitary sound coverage for large rooms in decentralized arrangements - CPD 04 is always the convincing solution. With CPD 04, KS AUDIO offers a universally applicable active sound reinforcement speaker of the highest audio quality and in an ultra-compact format for the demanding professional user.


The system consists of a 4.5” ND low-mid frequency speaker with torsion-resistant carbon-fiber reinforced membrane and a coaxially arranged fabric dome with neodymium magnet system. Both frequency ranges are acoustically separated from each other and thus work free from interactive modulation. This principle of a coaxial arrangement of woofer and tweeter is very commonly used in sound studio technology, where it has proved itself in practice as an ideal point source.

In the self-powered version, the CPD 04 now extends the CPD series of active KS AUDIO systems. Two integrated amplifiers in Class D technology supply the 4.5” speaker and the 1” soft dome with an RWS output of 90W. The crossover and FIR filters in the DSP are precisely matched to the drivers and increase the transmission quality significantly compared to a passive version. At high input levels, a compressor circuit protects the components and enhances the subjective impression of the sound intensity.

There is practically no field of application CPD 04 cannot be applied successfully: in the theater, on the cabaret stage, as a comprehensive decentralized sound coverage for large rooms, as a delayed support system for remote areas, and not least as an extremely compact mid-high range system in combination with CPD B subwoofers.

The cabinet construction is milled from multiplex panels and then coated with structured polyurethane, which makes it virtually indestructible. A 3/8” tripod thread, two M6 threads for the U-bracket and a very solid protective grille are further features of this high-quality product. The 2-way controlled amplifier installed in the rear panel operates with a high level of efficiency and requires no additional cooling.

The power supply unit is capable of handling all AC voltages between 110 and 240V.

The electronically balanced in/outs are designed as XLR female and male connector. In addition, the front panel features an LED standby indicator.
