CPD 12M complements the KS AUDIO CPD-Series of DSP controlled active self-powered systems with a very compact wedge-shape and coaxial design making it an excellent stage monitor. Due to its coaxial arrangement of the low-mid speakerand HF driver the directivity is well balanced in near field applications and helps to prevent feedback. The DSP-Controller operates with KS Audio FIR-Filter technology for true impulse-correct reproduction of audio and largest signal gain before feedback.


Two integrated amplifiers supply 500W for the 12”- low-mid speaker and 100W for the 1.4” driver - with a peak performance of 1200W!

The electronics are comprised of a switch mode power supply with Power-factor-Correction, a “cold” PWM amplifier for LF performance, and an analog FET-amplifier with the best audio characteristics for the HF compression Driver. Both the 12”- long excursion low-mid speaker and the 1.4” compression driver have strong but light Neodymium-Magnets. The 3” membrane of the compression driver consist of a special material that has a clearly reduced distortion factor in comparison to a titanium membrane. With CPD 12M, KS AUDIO has responded to the demanding needs of the professional user with a modular, self-powered loudspeaker with the highest audio quality in a compact size. There are many applications in which CPD 12M can be used: Theatre, Live-stage Music, in large rooms or tents, as a delay system for long-throw, or as a compact top in combination with any KS AUDIO subwoofer. CPD 12M is equippedwith a co-axial 12”- Neodymium low-mid speaker with a 4” voice coil, and 1.4” Neodymium driver. Therefore the CPD 12M is used on tripod Stands or with KS Audio Flyware.

The speaker cabinet construction is, like any KS AUDIO system, built from birch plywood with an extremely durable PU-coating. All RAL colors available. Another special feature is the multipurpose fitting on the back of the speaker, Allowing the installation of different fly-ware and connectors, which are safely interlocked by of quick release pins. There is also a pole mount in the bottom of the cabinet and a protective steel grill on the front, with or without acoustic foam, are further features of this premium product. The rear mounted 2-way DSP-controller / amplifier operates very efficiently without the need of a cooling fan. The FIR crossover and filter are specially matched to the drivers, with corresponding compressors and limiters to ensure safe operation. The electronically balanced inputs are XLR F+M connectors. The control panel also has a digital volume control to individually adjust for each venue and a digital delay up to 140ms or 40m, for time alignment and decentralized PA. There is a Lo Cut switch for speech reproduction or for adding a subwoofer to the system. Operation and set-up via PC, using KS AUDIO REMOTE3 Software is also possible over an Ethernet connection.

CPD 12 M power supply operates on AC 110-240V with soft-start using PowerCon in/out.
